The Prix Versailles has unveiled its list of the World’s Most Beautiful Airports for 2024 . Six airports across five countries earned recognition for their architectural brilliance and contribution to enhancing the travel experience.
Topping the list is Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi , designed in an X-shape that mirrors the region’s diverse landscapes. Its innovative design has set a new standard for airport architecture.
Two airports in Asia also stand out among the winners. Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 2 has undergone a major expansion, completed last year, enhancing its iconic status. Meanwhile, Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport Midfield Satellite 1, Thailand’s busiest hub, showcases sleek modernity that reflects the city’s vibrancy.
Other winners include Boston Logan Airport’s Terminal E (USA), Kansas City International Airport (USA), and Felipe Ángeles International Airport in Mexico. All six are in the running for three global titles—Prix Versailles, Interior, and Exterior—set to be announced at UNESCO Headquarters on December 2.
Travel becomes even more exciting when you venture beyond airports and explore destinations through road trips . In places like the UAE , with its stunning desert landscapes, or Singapore , where modern marvels meet lush greenery, hitting the road offers unique perspectives. Just remember to secure an International Driver’s Permit to ensure a hassle-free adventure wherever your journey takes you.
