For travelers planning to drive in Belgium before catching the train, securing an international driver’s permit is recommended.
Passengers can board in Belgium or the Netherlands and enjoy the journey through Germany and Austria before arriving in Italy the following day. The train features a restaurant car, allowing travelers to relax and dine as they cross the Alps. Departures from Brussels are scheduled for 6 PM, arriving in Venice at 3 PM the next day. The return journey leaves Venice at 4 PM and arrives in Brussels between 11 AM and 12 PM. The service will operate weekly until the end of March.
Prices for the journey start at €119 for standard seats and berths, while more comfortable sleeping arrangements are available for €239. Travelers heading to the Venice Carnival, which runs from February 14 to March 4, can take advantage of this new route for a scenic and restful journey.
The launch comes with more good news for European Sleeper travelers. The company’s Brussels-Prague route will continue through summer and autumn, despite earlier concerns about scheduling conflicts in Germany. The issue was resolved on January 28, ensuring continued service.
