Dusit Hotels and Resorts is set to open its first Devarana Wellness Retreat in India, marking an exciting milestone for the Thai-inspired hospitality brand. Set to open in March 2028, Devarana Sakleshpur in Karnataka will be the brand’s first venture outside China. This launch highlights Dusit’s commitment to creating serene, wellness-focused sanctuaries in scenic locations across the globe.
Devarana Sakleshpur will offer 75 spacious villas and suites, ranging from 47 to 90 square meters. For added luxury, 25 select villas will feature private plunge pools, providing a secluded space for guests to relax. The retreat is designed for both domestic and international travelers seeking holistic rejuvenation in nature-rich settings.
At the heart of the retreat is the Devarana Wellness Centre, offering a range of wellness services, including a movement studio, herbal steam room, and personalized wellness consultations. Additional facilities include an infinity pool, a specialty restaurant serving authentic South Indian cuisine, and an all-day dining option focusing on nutritious meals.
Located just four hours from Bangalore, Sakleshpur is a scenic destination known for its lush coffee plantations, historical temples, and rich biodiversity. Guests will be near popular attractions like the Bisle Reserve Forest, the star-shaped Manjarabad Fort, and Jenukallu Gudda Peak, with its stunning views of the Arabian Sea.
Dusit’s Chief Operating Officer, Gilles Cretallaz, expressed his enthusiasm for the new project, emphasizing the brand’s goal to create “bespoke healing and transformational experiences” in beautiful, private locations. The retreat is a collaboration with Shravanthi Hotels and Resorts Private Limited, known for their luxury hospitality expertise in India.
With Devarana Sakleshpur, Dusit Hotels aims to provide an immersive wellness retreat blending Thai and Indian hospitality traditions, offering travelers a unique escape into the serene landscapes of Karnataka’s Western Ghats.
