Vietnam is gearing up for a major aviation upgrade. The country is building Long Thanh International Airport, a massive hub designed to accommodate more than 100 million passengers per year. The new airport will span 25,000 acres and feature four terminals shaped like a lotus flower, a symbol of Vietnam. Construction began on January 5, 2021, following initial approval in 2011 by former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. According to reports, the project is expected to be fully operational by 2035.
